Notes:

Well, why am I so opposed to the cable TV model versus the Internet model? I look at it as --- cable is to Internet as mainframes and SNA were to distributed processing. As client/server is to true peer to peer. On the left, we see a storehouse of head-end video sources coming from the bit warehouse or broadcast sources. It goes into the cable down to couch potatoes. That's just like rooms full of mainframes, or now UNIX servers that go through SNA and LAN/WAN networks down to 3270 terminals and clients.
