So, why do I think we need symmetry? Well, fundamentally I believe anyone ought to be able to be a producer or a consumer. I don't want to make it a monopoly for large scale providers. That is, video warehouses vs. video rental stores. It might move computer applications to a more centralized vs. distributed model. Working at home will be hard. Computers need to send and receive equally. And then I don't see any room for serendipity or new apps.
